Terms of Use

These Terms of Service (“Agreement”) are a legal agreement between you (“You” or “User”) and Patriot Documents Incorporated (“Patriot Documents,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your use of the Lintra PDF software product(s) (“Product”) and related websites, documentation, and services (“Services”).

By installing, copying, downloading, accessing, or using Lintra PDF or any related Services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install, access, or use Lintra PDF.

1. Entire Agreement

1.1 Complete Agreement.
This Agreement, including any product-specific license terms, maintenance policies, and additional documentation provided by Patriot Documents, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Patriot Documents. It supersedes all prior agreements or understandings regarding Lintra PDF.

1.2 Third-Party Components.
Lintra PDF may include third-party software or integrations (e.g., Microsoft Azure, OpenAI, or other APIs). Your use of such components is subject to the respective third-party terms. Patriot Documents is not responsible for third-party services or content.

1.3 Updates to the Agreement.
Patriot Documents may revise this Agreement from time to time. Updated terms will be posted at getlintra.com/terms, with the “Effective Date” indicating the latest version. Continued use of Lintra PDF after changes means you accept the revised terms.

2. Account and Security

2.1 Account Creation.
Some Services (e.g., license management or enterprise support) may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

2.2 Account Termination.
You may cancel your account at any time by contacting support@patriotdocs.com. Upon termination, access to related services and stored data may be permanently deleted.

3. License and Restrictions

3.1 License Grant.
Lintra PDF is licensed, not sold. Patriot Documents grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use Lintra PDF on compatible devices, in accordance with your purchase terms (e.g., perpetual or subscription license).

3.2 Trial and Evaluation.
Trial versions are provided for evaluation only and may include limited functionality or expiration dates. Patriot Documents reserves the right to modify or terminate trial access at any time.

3.3 Restrictions.
You may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Lintra PDF;
Rent, lease, lend, sublicense, or distribute it without written consent;
Remove or obscure any copyright or trademark notices;
Circumvent license controls or activation mechanisms.

3.4 Ownership.
All intellectual property rights in Lintra PDF remain the property of Patriot Documents or its licensors. This Agreement does not grant any ownership rights to you.

4. User Content and AI Features

4.1 User Content.
You retain all rights to your documents and files processed in Lintra PDF. Patriot Documents does not access, store, or claim ownership of your content, except when you voluntarily submit files for technical support.

5. Privacy and Data

By using Lintra PDF, you acknowledge and agree to the collection and use of data as described in the Lintra PDF Privacy Policy. We may collect limited technical information (e.g., activation data, crash logs, and license status) to ensure product functionality, security, and compliance. Patriot Documents does not collect or store document contents unless explicitly submitted for diagnostics or support.

6. Fees and Payment

6.1 License Fees.
All purchases are subject to the prices and payment terms presented at the time of order. Fees are due upon invoicing unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6.2 Taxes.
Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.

6.3 Refund Policy.
Unless otherwise required by law, all purchases are final and non-refundable once a license key has been issued or activated.

7. User Obligations and Indemnity

7.1 Acceptable Use.
You agree not to misuse Lintra PDF, including by:

Uploading or distributing malware;
Attempting to disable or bypass product security;
Using the Product for unlawful purposes or infringing on third-party rights.

7.2 Indemnification.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Patriot Documents and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your violation of this Agreement or misuse of Lintra PDF.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

LINTRA PDF IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
PATRIOT DOCUMENTS AND ITS LICENSORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

You assume full responsibility for selecting Lintra PDF to achieve your intended results and for the results obtained from its use.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PATRIOT DOCUMENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF LINTRA PDF.

IN NO EVENT SHALL PATRIOT DOCUMENTS’ TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.

10. Termination

Patriot Documents may suspend or terminate your license if:

You breach any term of this Agreement;
You fail to pay applicable fees; or
Continued use would violate law or third-party rights.

Upon termination, all rights granted to you under this Agreement immediately cease, and you must uninstall and destroy all copies of Lintra PDF.

11. Export and Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable U.S. and international export control laws and regulations.
Lintra PDF may not be exported or re-exported to countries or users prohibited by U.S. law.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of Santa Clara County, California, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.

14. Miscellaneous

Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
Assignment: You may not transfer or assign this Agreement without Patriot Documents’ written consent.
